My Account

How do I sign out?

Click on 'sign out', in blue at the top of the page.

If you have set your preferences to 'save username and password', you will automatically be signed in to the site next time you click on 'member sign in'.

If you do not want to be signed in automatically, click on 'my account' whilst you are signed in to the site.

Your account details will be displayed. Scroll down to the section called 'automatic sign in preferences. Select either 'always ask me for my username and password' or 'save my username only'. Click on 'submit' at the bottom of the page.

The 'My account' screen will refresh and say 'your account has been updated'.

You can alter your preferences at any time.

When you sign out you will be presented with a feedback page, it is not compulsory to leave feedback but we do appreciate your thoughts.

How do I change my sign in preferences? 

Sign in to the site and click on ‘update my profile’.

Your account details will be displayed. Scroll down to the section called 'automatic sign in preferences'.

How do I change my email address?

You can change your email address by going into the "update my profile" section of the site. Simply change the details and press the submit button.

Our office opening hours are 09.00 to 18.00 GMT Monday to Friday.

Password support is available by email 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Outside of office hours please email info@findmypast.com with any queries.

We endeavour to answer all queries, by email, within 2 working days.
